As part of our ongoing ‘3 minute series’ of blog posts, we’re chatting to various members of the talented gomo family around the world to get to know them a bit better. If you haven’t already seen them, check out our previous ‘3 minutes’ Q&As with Director of Product Development Gavin Beddow, Business Development Manager in the US Thom Tate, Lead Test & Support Guru Pratibha Shah and Developer James Hough.
Today we’re talking to Adam, one of gomo’s Mobile Architects, who’s just as passionate about extreme sports as he is about learning technology.
Tell us about yourself – who are you?
I am Adam Fox and I guess I am someone that just really enjoys problem solving, understanding how things work or finding new ways to scare myself. So if I’m not working through some technical solution or dismantling something, I’m likely out riding my motorbike, jumping out of airplanes, snowboarding, or taking on some kind of new adventure.
What’s your greatest achievement?
I hope I have not achieved that yet, but I really enjoyed attaining my skydiving license a few months ago.
What do you do at gomo?
I work in our Sheffield office and I am responsible for designing and engineering technical solutions. I primarily work on gomo central, focusing on server-side, mobile, and APIs. I encourage good development practices and coding standards but also a healthy amount of banter.
Why do you love working at gomo?
I work with a great team of people and there are always fresh challenges.
Finally, favorite chocolate bar and why?
You can’t beat a Freddo bar! I once had a deep fried one in Scotland!
We love getting to know people here at gomo, so if you want to find out more about us then get in touch to speak to a member of the team.
